Bitumen penetration grade 10/20 is hard penetration grade bitumen using as a paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specification. This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.
Bitumen 60/70 is a non-crystalline viscous material, black or dark brown, which is substantially soluble in carbon disulphide (CS2), possessing adhesive and water-proofing qualities. It consists essentially of hydrocarbons and would typically comprise at least 80% carbon and 15% hydrogen, the remainder being oxygen, sulphur, nitrogen and traces of various metals.
Bitumen 80/100 is black material which is consumed from 4000 years B.C. its previous Latin name was PIXTU-MEN and today Bitumen and Asphalt are used as its name. its main usage is in roads and streets asphalt and insulation.
Primer is a rubber-modified bituminous priming solution designed to seal and prepare surfaces for the application of self-adhesive roofing and waterproofing systems. It is fast-drying and is ideal for ensuring a long-term bond between the roof surface and subsequent membranes being applied.
WATER PROOFING MEMBRANES
A waterproofing membrane is a thin layer of water-tight material that is laid over a surface. This layer is continuous and does not allow water to pass through it. For example, on a flat terrace, a waterproofing membrane could be laid above the structural slab and below the finish tiles. This will ensure that water does not seep into the structural slab.
Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is a high performance, water resistant and lightweight board of thermal insulation recommended for use under concrete slabs, green roofs, edge beams, cavity walls, external walls and cool rooms. XPS has a high compressive strength and is available in with either shiplap or tongue and groove (T&G) edges.
POLYURETHANE SPRAY PU
Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is one of the fastest growing building insulation products globally. SPF can help reduce energy use in new and existing buildings. SPF functions as both an insulation material and an air-sealing product. In buildings insulated with SPF, utility cost savings of up to 50 percent can be achieved.
A Geomembrane is very low permeability synthetic membrane liner or barrier used with any geotechnical engineering related material so as to control fluid (or gas) migration in a human-made project, structure, or system. Geomembranes are made from relatively thin continuous polymeric sheets, but they can also be made from the impregnation of geotextiles with asphalt, elastomer or polymer sprays, or as multilayered bitumen geocomposites.
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) is special form of polyethylene that has longer carbon strings with less branching. The result is a more compactable molecule and a higher density. HDPE is shipped in large rolls and mechanically deployed. All seams are made in the field using heat fusion or a tape designed for geosynthetics. HDPE is slightly less expensive than other materials, but has a higher cost of installation.
Available in textured one or both sides. Textured HDPE improves the friction between the liner and the subgrade. The textured finish can also assist installers and employees walking on the liner as it reduces the slipperiness. Textured HDPE is slightly more expensive than smooth HDPE however it can be often specified for lining Land Fill.
LDPE & LLDPE
LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) & LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) are similar to HDPE as they have many of the same characteristics. However LDPE and LLDPE is more flexible and can be folded. UV resistance is not as high as HDPE.
Water Proofing Chemicals is an 'acrylic copolymer emulsion' based added substance for bond based coatings, mortar and screed to upgrade its water proofing and mechanical properties, for example, attachment, flexural, tractable, compressive and sway quality.
